Hemporium was excited to launch our Hemp Expo last week, in celebration of our 21st year of pioneering hemp in SA.

The event also marked the official opening of our new flagship store, warehouse and office. Members of the public are now welcome to view the expo until Saturday 25th March between 9 AM and 4 PM (Thursday & Friday) and 9 AM and 2 PM (Saturday).

Showcasing a wide variety of different types of eco-friendly hemp products from 19 different local brands; the expo illustrates how the South African hemp industry is blossoming despite outdated legislation that does not yet allow hemp cultivation here.

Attendees will discover clothing, accessories, homeware, surfing equipment and more all made using versatile, sustainable hemp by Hemporium and all these local brands listed below:

Unknown Union, Pichulik, Artlab, Falcon & Wolf, Southcoast Surfboards, Sitting Pretty, Pod Baby Carriers, Veldt, Studio 19, Moonbasket, Wawa Surfboards, Scarfini Fins, Ubuntu Baba, Mini Matters, Woodstock Laundry, Photoganic and Room 13.

If we have already come so far in such a restrictive legal environment, imagine how our hemp industry will flourish when we can make use of locally grown hemp. Click here for an update on the status of hemp cultivation in SA.
